Compare
Salesforce inside Microsoft Teams, two different ways. Both products put Salesforce in Teams; they answer different questions.
Copilot for Sales is built for the rep who wants CRM context while reading email or sitting in a meeting. CentroBot is built for companies that need Salesforce to reach into Teams on its own: create the channel, post the change, ask for the update, and write the answer back. This page lays out what each does, what it costs to run, and where each one stops.

Microsoft's paid add-on for Microsoft 365 that connects to Salesforce Sales Cloud. It shows CRM records alongside Outlook email and Teams meetings, drafts email with CRM context, summarizes meetings, and lets a rep save an email or a meeting summary to Salesforce. Microsoft's documentation now refers to it as Sales agent; the capability set on this page is the same product.
Where it fits: firms standardized on Microsoft 365 whose reps live in Outlook and want CRM context without opening Salesforce.
Runs in: Outlook and Teams meetings
Owned by: Microsoft 365 admin
Pricing model: Per user, on top of Microsoft 365 Copilot where required
Limits: Pull model, no Teams channel management

Centro's Salesforce agent for Microsoft Teams, running on the Centro integration. Automation is built in Salesforce Flow by your Salesforce admin. CentroBot creates and manages Teams channels from records, posts when records change, prompts users for updates with a form or a question, answers questions about Salesforce data in the channel, and writes the answer back to Salesforce under the user's own login. Agentforce agents can be surfaced in Teams through the same app. Salesforce data is read and written through the Salesforce API; there is no shadow data store.
Where it fits: Sales, RevOps, and client teams that communicate in Microsoft Teams and want to keep Salesforce up to date without leaving it, and companies that need non-licensed teammates in the loop.

Copilot answers when the rep asks. Centro keeps Salesforce in the conversation: CentroBot prompts the rep before the rep has to, and Flow writes the answer back.

| Criterion | Copilot for Sales | CentroBot |

| Prompt a rep for a missing field or checklist item | No | Yes, Action Prompts and the compliance nudge |
| Write back to Salesforce | Save email or meeting summary | Any field, any object, under the user's login |
| Include teammates without a Salesforce license | No | Yes, via the automation user |
| Built and owned by | Microsoft 365 admin | Salesforce admin in Flow |
| Data path | Microsoft 365 | Salesforce API, no shadow data store |
| Licensing | Per user, on top of Microsoft 365 Copilot where required | Flat per user |

Some firms run both: Copilot for email and meeting summaries, CentroBot for channels, prompts, and write-back. They do not overlap on the work that matters to a RevOps lead, so this is a reasonable stack for a Microsoft-first org that also needs Salesforce to drive process.
If your reps want CRM context in their inbox, Copilot for Sales does that and CentroBot does not. If you need Salesforce to open the channel, post the change, and ask the rep for what is missing, that is CentroBot. Setup steps for the native app, Power Automate, and Centro are on the how-to page. Yes. It connects to Salesforce Sales Cloud and shows CRM records in Outlook and Teams. It does not automate Salesforce or create Teams channels.
No. It responds to the rep's request. Centro posts from a Salesforce Flow action when the record changes.
Licensing has changed more than once. Check Microsoft's current licensing page for your plan before budgeting.
Yes. Copilot covers email and meeting summaries. Centro covers channels, prompts, and write-back. Neither depends on the other.
Centro writes every update under the user's own login with Salesforce field history intact, and can prompt the rep on required checklist items before a call ends. Copilot for Sales saves summaries the rep chooses to save. See /security for what Centro supports.
